The Mission of @Mushroom_Yogi is to create bubbles of joy in Appalachia filled with humility, integrity, health, and advocacy. This is accomplished by combining the appreciation of mushrooms with art and yogi philosophy.

L. T. Robinson (aka @Mushroom_Yogi) is an amateur “passion” mycologist, artist, and yogi. 

For almost 20 years, Robinson has been exploring the mycology of the New River Valley in Virginia. She is a member of the New River Valley Mushroom Club, North American Mycological Association, and West Virginia Mushroom Club.  

Robinson has lived in the southwestern Virginia since 1985. She was in gifted and talented programs for art. Robinson has studied yoga at Yogaville and lives the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda. After earning her MBA and pursuing a career in administration, she combined her passions for mycology and art. Her cartoon "10 Types of Mushroom People" was published in Fungi Magazine (Winter 2021) and "The Mushroom Hunter's Oracle" deck was published in 2023. Both projects used her knowledge of Appalachia fungi and the people who hunt them. 

Robinson continues to combine Mushrooms + Art + Yogi Philosophy in creative projects that can be seen on Instagram. The mission of @Mushroom_Yogi is to create bubbles of joy in Appalachia filled with humility, integrity, health, and advocacy.
